Feels Like Home - Reflections on Central Library

Feels Like Home: Reflections on the Central Library chronicles the history of our great building from its earliest time in reading rooms across the city all the way to the fire in 1986 and the subsequent rebuilding and reopening of what is now one of the greatest libraries in the nation and certainly one of our city's great prides. This book includes a foreword by John Szabo (City Librarian); history as written by Glenna Dunning (Librarian, History and Genealogy department); recollection by Christina Rice (Senior Librarian, Photo Collection); essays by Betty Gay Toeman (Central Library Director 1984-1998), Glen Creason (Map Librarian, History and Genealogy Department), and Bob Anderson; and an epilogue by Margaret Bach. Pages are accompanied by photos from the Los Angeles Public Library Photo Collection.

This book was made to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of the reopening of the Los Angeles Central Library.
