This postcard is based on a series of linoleum prints by Montana artist Leslie Van Stavern Millar honoring the achievements of women. Rachel Carson (1907-1964) scientist and environmentalist, was the author of Silent Spring. This influential book alerted the American public for the first time to the dangers of chemicals in the environment. 

A portion of each card sold is donated to support progressive advocacy programs in the United States.
